Q. Hello! Who are you and what product are you working on currently, and who is your target audience (Age range)?
I’m Momen, founder and lead developer of WarmChats, an AI-powered messaging automation platform. WarmChats helps businesses and marketers automate personalized outreach via multiple channels like Email, LinkedIn, Instagram, WhatsApp, SMS, and more. Our target audience ranges from startups and SMBs to marketing agencies and sales teams, primarily aged 22–45, who want to improve their customer engagement and lead generation efficiently.
Q. What is your backstory and how did you come up with your idea? What year did you start?
I started WarmChats in 2024 after noticing how time-consuming and ineffective traditional cold outreach and customer messaging can be without personalization. I wanted to build a tool that leverages AI to create natural, personalized conversations at scale, eliminating spammy generic messages. The idea was born from my own experience running SaaS and outreach campaigns and realizing there was a gap for multi-channel, AI-driven messaging automation tailored for real human connection.
Q. Take us through the process of building the first version of your product MVP
The MVP was built by my agency, SprkShiftAgency.com, we used Supabase for authentication, database, and storage to speed up backend development. We integrated OPENROUTER AI API for advanced natural language generation, allowing users to create personalized messages quickly. The first version focused on Email and LinkedIn channels, featuring CSV lead imports and basic campaign management. We launched a closed beta to get feedback from early users and iterated rapidly to add multi-channel support and improve AI message quality.
Q. How many employees do you have working on your product? Do you have any co-founders?
WarmChats is built by a core founding team of three co-founders, including myself. We also collaborate with a few freelancers for specialized tasks.
Q. How much monthly traffic do you receive?
Currently, WarmChats receives around 1,000 active users per month, with consistent growth as more marketers and businesses discover the platform.
Q. How did you get your first customers for your product and how many free/paid customers do you have currently? (Feel free to list them out).
Our first customers came from targeted outreach within LinkedIn groups, Twitter communities, and warm referrals through my personal network. We initially offered free trials to onboard early adopters and convert them into paying customers. Right now, we have about 450 paying users.
Q. Since you launched your product, what has worked to attract customers?
Consistent content marketing on Twitter/X, sharing authentic build-in-public updates, outreach tips, and viral thread strategies have proven very effective. Engaging with founder and marketer communities directly and providing personalized onboarding experiences have also helped significantly boost customer acquisition and retention.
Q. How is your product performing currently, and what are your plans for the future? Can you share your current metrics and revenue figures?
WarmChats is performing steadily, with monthly recurring revenue (MRR) currently around $6,000. We have strong retention, especially among Pro and Business tier users. In the next 6–12 months, we plan to expand multi-channel automation capabilities, add more integrations like Zapier and API access, and enhance AI-powered analytics and personalization features. Our goal is to double MRR by the end of the year and scale the user base significantly.
Q. Since the inception of your business, have you gained any insights that have provided you with a competitive advantage and proven beneficial to your operations?
Yes. One key insight is that combining multi-channel outreach with deep, AI-driven personalization greatly improves engagement and response rates. Another is that simplifying user onboarding and focusing on user experience reduces churn and increases lifetime value. Listening closely to customer feedback and iterating quickly based on real needs has been crucial.
Q. What tools have helped you grow your product?
Supabase for backend infrastructure (auth, database, storage).
Gemini AI API for natural language generation powering personalized messages.
Twitter/X for community building and marketing.
Stripe for payments and subscription management.
Zapier for connecting with other SaaS tools and workflows.
Q. Which books, podcasts, or other resources have had the greatest impact on you?
“Hooked” by Nir Eyal — for understanding product psychology and user behavior.
“The Lean Startup” by Eric Ries — essential for building MVPs and iterating fast.
Indie Hackers Podcast — inspiring interviews with founders who share honest stories and growth tactics.
“Rework” by Basecamp founders — lessons on building small, efficient teams and staying focused.
Q. What advice would you offer to entrepreneurs who are looking to start or have just begun their journey?
Start by solving a real problem you care deeply about and validate your idea with actual users early on. Build fast, test often, and don’t fear failure, it’s a critical part of learning. Stay consistent in sharing your journey and engaging with your community; this builds trust and helps you grow. Focus on simplicity and user experience to reduce churn and increase loyalty.
Q. Are you looking to hire for certain positions right now?
Yes, a very great manager.

Indie Tip of the Week
Don't scale your product. Scale your proof.
Before you chase more features or users, make sure your core promise delivers every single time. A product that really works for 10 users, is more powerful than one that sort of works for 1,000. Nail it small. Then grow.
