Q. Hello! Who are you and what product are you working on currently, and who is your target audience (Age range)?
Hi! I’m Abbas, a full-stack developer from Azerbaijan. I’m the founder of Listd.in and SoloPush. Right now, I’m focused on growing SoloPush, a Product Hunt alternative for solo makers. It hit $2,000 MRR just 19 days after launch.
Q. What is your backstory and how did you come up with your idea? What year did you start?
I’ve always wanted to build solo products, but in Azerbaijan, it’s almost impossible to access global payments. So, I moved to Türkiye to pursue this dream.
On February 1st, I launched Listd.in, a curated directory for indie makers. It made $600 in its first month, which gave me the motivation to go further.
Q. Take us through the process of building the first version of your product MVP
The original idea was simple: a curated directory with limited spots, just 600 for the best indie products. But soon I realized that wasn't enough. Founders needed more visibility and opportunities to launch.
So, I pivoted. SoloPush became a Product Hunt alternative, built specifically for solo makers.
Q. How many employees do you have working on your product? Do you have any co-founders?
It’s just me doing everything.
Q. How much monthly traffic do you receive?
In just 3 weeks, SoloPush brought in over 20,000 visitors and 120,000+ pageviews.
Q. How did you get your first customers for your product and how many free/paid customers do you have currently? (Feel free to list them out).
I posted about SoloPush on Reddit and Twitter. That’s it. From there, it spread. Today, we have over 300 users, including 60+ paying customers.
Q. Since you launched your product, what has worked to attract customers?
The biggest growth driver is simple: the market needs this. Solo makers are looking for places to share their products. We’re giving them that.
Q. How is your product performing currently, and what are your plans for the future? Can you share your current metrics and revenue figures?
SoloPush hit $2,000 MRR just 19 days after launch.
Q. Since the inception of your business, have you gained any insights that have provided you with a competitive advantage and proven beneficial to your operations?
One of our biggest differentiators is permanence. Your product stays on the platform, in your category, forever. No more being lost the day after you launch.
Q. What tools have helped you grow your product?
Canva for design
Stripe & Polar for payments
Supabase for backend
Reddit and Twitter to get the word out
Q. Which books, podcasts, or other resources have had the greatest impact on you?
Definitely Marc Lou’s YouTube channel, it gave me the push I needed.
Q. What advice would you offer to entrepreneurs who are looking to start or have just begun their journey?
Just do it.
Build what’s on your mind.
Listen to the people using your product.
And show up every day.
